I just couldn't wait...

I am so excited to show you my newest finish! I designed this quilt myself and I am thrilled with the way it turned out! It is so fresh and modern.  Sew without further ado, introducing... Asymmetric Argyle.

It is pieced using Kona Snow for the background and a solid gray, yellow and black for the argyle pattern.
The yellow and black are Kona but not sure of the gray.
The machine quilting was done following the lines of the argyle. I love how the pattern turned out on the big open space.

The back is pieced using Ironwork in Granite by Joel Dewberry.

I'm very proud of this piece! The design was mulling around in my head for a while and is now a reality. I am smitten.
I also promised in my last post to share the knitted throw that I finished. A new technique for me...knitting a round throw.

This little throw will be heading to my DD2 and DSIL soon.

  2. Great Job!! I love the colors you chose too, it matches my fresh sunny Florida kitchen to a T!! :) Thank You so much Dawn for my "Ghastlie" Bag that I won!! I just love the size!! Every time I am a passenger in the car I am either hand sewing or crocheting. Because of the size I can now carry my needles and sewing supplies that I travel with in one bag! and that I Love. I couldn't have won a more perfect gift for me!! Thank~you so much for my early Christmas Gift!!

  4. I love the fresh look of your Argyle. I'm not sure I expressed that when I saw it, as I was so concentrating on the stitching and learning the differences of Kona verses other cottons. (I was sew in wantobe mode of learning and not as much just enjoying the beauty). Thanks for sharing all your talent with me this weekend. I had so much fun. Love the round throw. KK & MK will love it.
