It feels so good to have my last UFO from 2018 ~ D.O.N.E!
After sandwiching my Temperature quilt earlier this week, I set out to get it done!
I did a simple straight line quilting, both horizontal and vertical through the center of each block since it is already a busy quilt with its year of different colored blocks!

The backing is a print I inherited from my mom's stash. I thought the colors worked well with colors in the front.
The quilt finished at 55" x 64"

Hooray Dawn! WOW...that was quite an undertaking tracking the temperatures every single day for a year. 365 blocks! Well done. How fun to see all the temps for that year. I would have been lucky to document all that on paper. I’d never had made it through a year documenting daily temps with fabric. Impressive!
ReplyDeleteI finished mine this year too, only I was finishing one I gathered info in 2016. Kinda wish I'd done highs and lows too. but doubt I'll do another. https://knitnkwilt.wordpress.com/2019/03/10/weather-watching-finished/
ReplyDeleteHi Dawn, congrats of the finish. It looks great. If you get a chance, why not link up to Free motion mavericks? We'd love to have you join the fun!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty quilt. The backing is perfect as well. I am working on a temperature quilt this year.
